About the role

Algoo is an app that gives brands a content team: they plan, script and book their videos in it, and an account manager runs every project. As a freelance videographer, you shoot those videos at brands’ locations anywhere in Vizag. Shoot requests reach you in the Algoo Team app inside the hours you set, the first to accept gets the shoot, and every booked minute is paid.

What you’ll do

  • Set the days and hours you shoot. Requests only reach you inside them, and you’re never booked over another shoot.
  • Take shoot requests from brands anywhere in Vizag. Each shows the day, time, length and what you’ll earn.
  • Accept the ones that suit you. The first videographer to accept gets the shoot.
  • Read the script and brief in the app, and tap Navigate to reach the client’s address.
  • Scan the client’s code to start and end the shoot, then film to the script.
  • Upload your clips the same day and send them to the editor.

What you get

  • Requests come to you, inside the hours you set. No pitching, no cold DMs.
  • What you’ll earn is on the request before you accept.
  • Paid for every booked minute, even if the client wraps early.
  • Your fee is credited the moment your footage reaches the editor. No invoices.
  • Never double-booked, with travel time built in between shoots.

What we look for

  • A showreel, as a public link.
  • Your own kit. Tell us what you have: flagship phone, mirrorless / DSLR, cinema camera, gimbal, wireless mics, lights, tripod, drone.
  • Shoots you do well: talking head & personal brand, product & e-commerce, food & restaurants, real estate walkthroughs, interviews & podcasts, events & launches, fashion & beauty, fitness & sport.
  • At least one language you can direct a shoot in.
  • You live in Vizag and can reach shoots across the city.
  • No degree needed. Your reel matters more than your CV.

How pay works

Every request shows what you’ll earn before you accept.

You’re paid for every booked minute at your city’s rate, even if the client wraps early.

Your fee is credited to your Earnings the moment your footage reaches the editor, itemised by minutes and rate.

A client can still move a booked shoot until shortly before it starts. It then goes back out as a new request, and you’re paid for the shoots you film.

Is this a job or freelance work?

Freelance. You choose which offers and shoot requests to take. There are no fixed hours and no salary.

Do I need to live in Vizag?

This hiring drive is for Vizag. Videographers shoot at brands’ locations anywhere in the city, so you need to be here. Editors work online, from their own setup.

How does pay work?

Editors: every offer shows a fee for 3, 5 and 8-hour delivery. Deliver your first cut on time (there’s a 10-minute grace) and the fee you picked is credited when the client approves; a late cut steps down, and the app tells you why. Videographers: every request shows what you’ll earn, paid per booked minute at your city’s rate and credited when your footage reaches the editor.

Who talks to the client?

Editors: your account manager handles the client, and clients see you only as “Editor”. Videographers: you meet the client at the shoot, and they see your first name and photo.

What kit do I need?

Videographers tell us what they shoot with when they apply: flagship phone, mirrorless / DSLR, cinema camera, gimbal, wireless mics, lights, tripod, drone. Editors tell us their software: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, CapCut.

What happens after I apply?

We review your work and email you the decision. If you’re in, the email has a link to set up your account, and then we help you set up the Algoo Team app. If it isn’t a fit yet, the email tells you (with our note, when there is one), and you can change your application and apply again.

Is there a fee to apply?
